Saw your blog via Google Alerts. "Seattle printing" is one of my alerts.
As a visual person (and used to draw well), I was thrilled to see what the alert linked me to. Love the art. By the time stamp of your blogs, I can see you're an all night person or a very early riser.
Saw the comment about printing. That's part of the hassle in the art world. Should you need help, I offer very reasonably priced printing services, and can take some of the hassle off your desk. Lots of experience.

Is this the same Anne Yen that I lived with at Umich? I still have one of your graphic novellas. I saw you worked with NYC Parks. I worked there for 8 years. Who was your contact? I really liked seeing your work on your blog. I hope all is well with you. Best, Andy Wilson
I spent my summers as a kid in suburban Detroit mucking around in the neighborhood pond. My love for all things wild and free led me to achieve a Bachelors degree in Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan. Since then, I spent many sweaty seasons in the field on wildlife conservation, native plant work and environmental restoration projects near and far.
I am a new graduate of the Natural Science Illustration Certificate Program at the University of Washington. My fascination with nature inspires my illustrations in acrylic, watercolor and ink. My art has been published by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Rainforest Alliance, Central Park Conservancy and the Wildlife Conservation Society. I am committed to working towards environmental conservation, environmental education, environmental justice and sustainability through my work, whether in the field, at the desk, or in the studio.
Thank you very much for visiting my website! You can contact me at anne@anneyenillustration.com.
This is what my drawing desk looks like sometimes...
So why a nature art blog?
I decided to do a nature art blog separate from my illustration website www.anneyenillustration.com as a space to discuss nature art, the art making process, and art in relation to how we relate to nature. Basically it's a space for me to blah blah blah and to provide updates on what's happenin' with my journey as a wildlife illustrator. That is, if you're interested - ha ha! But really, it's part of my learning process and I spent many years self-publishing zines telling and illustrating stories and this is sort of an extension of those zinester days. But now, I've gotten serious. Very very serious. No just kidding, I've just gotten older! Anyhow, enjoy and thank you for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment or email me at anne@anneyenillustration.com. Don't spam me though or you'll be severely punished by this owl below!
